Back from OAKA with 48 personal bests from 57 swims and 8 medals for NOK!
Another outstanding performance from our pre-competitive squad, who rounded off this year's racing programme with 48 personal bests and 8 medals at the PAO Christmas Trophy.
Despite missing several swimmers due to the recent wave of viral illnesses affecting children in particular, our team put in a competitive performance at the OAKA pool, gaining valuable experience at Greece's finest swimming facility.
Our team's medals were won by:
Nikolaos Pierros in the 50m and 200m breaststroke
Konstantinos Boukouvalas in the 50m butterfly and the 50m and 100m freestyle
Lydia Soulioti in the 100m freestyle
Vasia Konstantinou in the 100m freestyle
Giorgos Balis in the 200m individual medley.
The greatest achievement, however, was the effort made by all the children, who improved their personal bests and competed in new events, further developing their swimming skills.
The whole team's performance is dedicated to the children who were unable to take part in such a fantastic event due to illness. They were in our thoughts throughout the competition. Next time, we will all be there together!
Congratulations to all the children for their efforts, and to the entire coaching team, the board and the parents for supporting our swimmers!
